I am a distinguished academic, safety professional, and institutional consultant with extensive expertise in industrial safety, quality management, and sustainable development. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Production Department at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute and holds key leadership roles in national and institutional training initiatives.

Holds a position of Supervisor of Crisis and Disaster Management and Risk Reduction at Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute.

Director of the Training Unit at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Nanotechnology, Cairo University – Sheikh Zayed Branch, where he leads numerous training programs in nanotechnology, safety, and sustainability. He is also a certified Corporate Consultant by the National Council of Training and Education, and an internationally authorized trainer by the National Association of Safety Professionals (USA), where he also holds credentials as a Certified Safety Manager and Certified Trainer.

In addition, he has played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of specialized training modules in collaboration with organizations such as the Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Environment, and multiple research and educational institutions. Dr. Abdelhamid has been actively involved in national projects related to hazardous waste management, energy efficiency, and health care accreditation (GAHAR).

He is also the Acting Deputy Manager of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Unit at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute and has participated in several research projects funded by STDF and ASRT. Internationally, Dr. Abdelhamid is an alumnus of the GSEED Fellowship in Germany (Clausthal University, Institute of Subsurface Energy Systems), and a former Youth Committee Member of the World Petroleum Council (2017–2021), contributing to global forums such as the Future Leaders Forum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
